The basics of making pottery have been the same for millennia, and the basic principles always apply. Unfortunately the same can’t be said for technology, so when the time came to update our website, we knew we were better off keeping our hands in the clay. So we called our friends at Kirby Stephens Design (KSD) to freshen things up for us.
Tater Knob Pottery and Farm is a favorite of many visitors to the Berea, Kentucky area for many years. And recently, visitors have begun to share their Tater Knob experience with others on TripAdvisor.com. We love to have visitors here at the farm, and we love knowing that they enjoyed their visit enough to recommend us to other folks. We’re always pleased to know that our guests enjoy us as much as we enjoy them.
“Though off the beaten track, Tater Knob is a discovery worth the drive. Whether you are headed to Snug Hollow Farm or just passing through take the time to see what Jeff and Sara are doing. Their shop is always open and welcomes everyone with a smile, some coffee, and a ready introduction to their life’s passion.
Currently, Tater Knob is ranked #1 of 19 attractions in Berea, Kentucky. We are very proud to be a destination for people travelling in our area. We hope you’ll put us on your itinerary the next time you’re in our part of the country. We’ll have smiles, hot coffee and (of course) beautiful pottery waiting for you!
“For 30 years I’ve dreamed of having a full set of Tater Knob Pottery and Farm dinnerware. Am beyond thrilled to be the owner of the first full set of dinnerware made by David Enge.” – Cyndi Walthourn Downing, from our Facebook page.
Thanks Cyndi, we’re always glad to make dreams come true!
Jeff examining another masterpiece fresh from the kiln! This is the third time we have operated this kiln and we hope to get in one or two more firings before the year is out. If you haven’t seen some of the work we are producing with this kiln, check out our Wood Fired Gallery.
