So much time, so much care, so much can go wrong with firing hundreds of pots in the Wood Fired Kiln. It’s a good feeling to open the doors and see beautiful results!

Tater Knob recently constructed a Wood Fired Kiln, also known as a noborigama kiln, allows us to produces a new style of pottery at Tater Knob.

We use what are called pyrometric cones, and you see them in the photo above. They are a very simple, yet effective tool for careful firing of pottery.
