Spoon Bread Bakers

The Spoon Bread Baker is the most versatile kitchen item we produce. The large 1.5 quart baker holds the full recipe of spoon bread, a regional delicacy served at Boone Tavern in Berea.

Spoon bread is a light souffleed cornbread must be served with a spoon. The recipe accompanies each baker we sell. One half the recipe fills the small baker.

Whether you're baking the traditional spoon bread recipe or a more flamboyant souffle, these guys work hard all day. Sarah uses her large spoon bread baker for a boxed brownie mix or cake mix after a hard day at work. The beautiful red clay is fired to 2185 degrees F which turns it to a solid glass, making these bakers useful in the oven, microwave and dishwasher.

We make our Spoon Bread Baker in a variety of sizes. The large baker is our standard size, holding one standard recipe of spoon bread. Our gift box set includes the large baker and spoon bread mix. It makes a wonderful gift to share a taste of Kentucky flavor.
